I’ve compiled another list…
There were a few sayings that made their way into everyday conversation that I thought might be fun to share:
“You win some, you lose some.”
This was a rather funny one. It was applied to so many things, whether it be discussing the topic weight, sleep, cleaning inspections or whatever else you can think of. It was a saying most used to jokingly blow off whatever we may have messed up over the course of a semester; it made light of many things.
This is a pretty recent one for the semester, but actually originates from a childhood video I was tagged in on Facebook. Essentially, at one of my close friend’s birthday, we’re all sitting at the hip and happening McDonald’s when her little brother (probably two-years-old at the time) declares rather maturely, “Yeah, fine,” and nods his head in response to being asked how he was doing that day. Naturally, this was hilarious enough to inspire it to be used in everyday life (at least, this semester as of late).
“I regret nothing.”
This was an immediate favorite and lasted the entire semester. Anytime we stayed out too late, ate too much pizza or did too much of anything, this phrase was our saving grace. Perhaps it may not seem all that funny to you, but trust me on this one, it was always used in the most humorous situations.
